Website builders with AI
Wix is a full business platform: its AI builder makes a complete site from a conversation, you edit with the Aria assistant or by drag and drop, and the plans add a store, bookings, a blog, a CMS and payments from Core. After launch its agents help run the business, Kleo with marketing and Alfred answering phone calls, with actions sent to you for approval. Briks focuses on getting the site itself right: it asks what it needs, designs from a brief or from a site you like, checks contrast before it publishes, and takes every later change in plain words as a version you can undo. If you want a ready-made store today, Wix has one; Briks sites take one-time payments and subscriptions through your own processor, and Briks builds shipping and stock into the site when you ask.
As of 8 October 2026. Products change, so check their site before you decide.
Fifteen rows in six groups. Every Wix cell links to the page it came from; where the research could not confirm something, the cell says “Not listed” rather than guess. Prices are shown only where a US dollar price could be confirmed on Wix’s own page.

Wix generates a site with business tools; Briks designs from your brief and a site you like.
Wix's AI website builder holds a conversation and produces a complete site: pages, layout, copy, visuals and the business tools your industry needs, such as a store, scheduling or forms. Starting with AI is free, and you can also begin from more than 2,000 templates.
Briks begins with a written brief and asks about what it leaves open, always including which pages you want. Add a site you admire and Briks reads its layout, spacing, type, motion and header menu, then builds yours with your own words; or switch on Pick a look to choose from three directions first. It builds the site, not a suite of business tools.
With Wix
Describe the salon and Wix can generate the site with online booking built in.
With Briks
Describe the salon and add a salon site you like. Briks builds the site with a booking form whose entries are kept in the studio; connect your own processor in Project settings and ask for a deposit with each booking, paid on the processor's own page.
02Hosting
Both host every plan; Wix domains start on Light, Briks's on Starter.
Wix hosts every plan, Free included, on a wixsite.com address with Wix branding. A custom domain comes with every Premium plan from Light, and yearly or multi-year plans include a voucher for a free domain for one year.
Briks hosts every plan. Every site first goes to a preview at its own briks.live address, kept out of search, then to production after a launch check. Your own domain starts on Starter; the records are re-checked every two minutes and the certificate is issued and renewed automatically. Briks does not include a free domain.
03Changes
Wix: Aria or drag and drop. Briks: plain words, with every change a version.
On Wix you edit with Aria or drag elements yourself. Two reviewers point out that the template cannot be swapped once chosen, so a big change of look can mean starting a new site.
On Briks there is no template to be stuck with. You ask for changes in plain words, from a new section to a different feel, and each one is built, published and saved as a version you can undo, redo or restore. You can A/B test a saved version against the live one and keep the one that brings more calls, emails and form entries.
With Wix
Rework sections by drag and drop, or ask Aria. A different template means a new site, according to reviewers.
With Briks
Ask for 'a calmer look with more space and fewer colours'. If you prefer the old one, restore it.
04After launch
Wix's agents, store and bookings are live; Briks has analytics, a site chat, payments through your own processor and agents on paid plans, and builds a store with shipping when you ask rather than offering one ready-made.
Wix is clearly ahead here. Aria helps with setup, business management and growth; Kleo handles marketing across SEO, email, social and paid ads; and Alfred answers phone calls around the clock, takes messages and sends SMS links. Wix says recommended actions, such as sending a campaign, come to you for approval first. Payments and ecommerce start on Core, with catalogues up to 50,000 products.
Briks counts visitors, pages, sources and campaign tags without cookies, offers a chat that answers from your published pages and emails you what it cannot, and keeps every form entry in the studio. Briks agents, on paid plans, also ask before emailing anyone or changing your site. Sites take one-time payments and subscriptions through your own processor, and paid orders show in the Database tab.
05Pricing
Wix prices by region; Briks Starter is $16 a month.
Wix shows prices for your region on yearly plans, and the research could not verify its US prices, so we do not quote a number here; see Wix's plans page. Its plans are flat subscriptions, and some agents use AI credits. Two reviewers say Wix's plans cost more than other builders.
Briks Free gives 50 credits once for one site on a briks.live address. Starter is $16 a month for 175 credits, 1 site and 1 domain; Pro is $29 for 400 credits, 3 sites and 3 domains; Studio is $79 and Agency $199. AI work is paid in credits per job. Paying for a year gives 2 months free, and paid plans are bought online at checkout.
06Ownership
Wix sites cannot move hosts; Briks gives you your site's files and your records.
Wix states that sites must run on Wix's servers and that its architecture does not support hosting elsewhere.
Briks lets you browse and edit your site's own files, and on a paid plan download them as a zip. It is not a ready-to-host export: the zip leaves out the shared parts every Briks site runs on, so it does not run on its own. On a paid plan, records in your site's database download as JSON or CSV; form entries stay in the studio and cannot be exported.
These points come from named reviewers, linked and dated, and only where more than one source agreed. They describe some people’s experience, not everyone’s. Some reviewers publish their own tools, and older reviews may predate Wix’s current plans.

An honest split. If the left-hand list describes you better, Wix is the better choice today.
Tick what your project needs. The suggestion counts only what is known: a need Wix’s pages did not mention never counts against it.

Wix sites cannot be exported, so moving to Briks is a rebuild: start a Briks project with a brief and give it your Wix site's address as a reference.
Copy the words from your Wix site that you want on the new one, and collect any pictures you own.
Add them to your Briks media library, where any project's prompt box can use them.
Describe the business and paste in the words you are keeping. Briks asks which pages you want and anything the brief leaves open.
Paste its address as your project's reference site. Briks reads its layout, spacing, type, motion and header, and builds a new site in that spirit with your words.
The first publish goes to a briks.live preview kept out of search. Ask for changes in plain words; each one is a version you can undo.
A launch check runs first, including links that go nowhere.
On Starter or above, add an A record, a CNAME for www and a TXT record. The certificate is issued and renewed automatically. Paid plans are bought online at checkout.
They are easy in different ways. Wix gives you an editor to drag things around and Aria to help. With Briks you describe changes in plain words, or, on paid plans, change words, colours and spacing on the page itself in the Visual Editor, and each change becomes a version you can undo.
Yes, on paid plans, with their own jobs: Briks agents answer enquiries by email, keep pages current, work on search, write blog posts and social posts, plan each month's marketing and report each week, asking you first. Wix's Aria, Kleo and Alfred are available today, with actions such as campaigns sent to you for approval.
Yes: Briks sites take one-time payments through your own processor account for digital products, services and bookings, and through Stripe, PayPal, Mollie or Razorpay for physical goods too. Plans that renew monthly or yearly sell through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy. When you ask, Briks builds shipping into the site. Wix includes payments and ecommerce from its Core plan.
Wix does not support moving a site to another host. You can rebuild on Briks from a brief, using your Wix site as a reference for the look.
Briks Starter is $16 a month and Pro $29. Wix shows regional prices on yearly plans, so check its plans page in your currency.
No. Briks connects a domain you own on Starter and above. Wix's yearly Premium plans include a one-year domain voucher.
Yes. Ask for the new look in plain words; it is built as a new version, and the old one can be restored.
