AI app builders
Replit is a broad AI platform: its Agent builds web apps, websites and mobile apps on a managed PostgreSQL database, Core adds slides, data visualisations and videos, Routines schedule work across tools like Slack and Gmail, and Git with GitHub sync keeps the code portable. Briks is narrower and more opinionated: it plans, designs, builds, checks and hosts websites, web apps and dashboards from a written brief or from a site you like, and keeps every change as a version. Pick Replit for range, mobile apps and code in your hands; pick Briks for a designed business site you can change in plain words, with hosting that never draws on your credits.

Fifteen rows in six groups. Every Replit cell links to the page it came from; where the research could not confirm something, the cell says “Not listed” rather than guess. Prices are shown only where a US dollar price could be confirmed on Replit’s own page.

Replit's Agent covers apps, mobile and media; Briks focuses on sites and apps planned from a brief.
Replit's Agent takes a description and builds web apps, websites or mobile apps, and on Core and above the same Agent makes slides, data visualisations and animated videos. It can set up a managed PostgreSQL database and file storage on its own. The free Starter plan builds in Lite mode only, without Full builds or Plan Mode.
Briks plans before it builds. It asks which pages you want and anything your brief left open, reads a site you like for layout, spacing, type, motion and header, and then designs, builds and checks the site. It makes websites, web apps and dashboards, and a public template can be rewritten for your business before it publishes.
With Replit
On Core, Replit's Agent can make both the site and the slides.
With Briks
Briks builds the website, designed from a site you like and checked before it publishes. It does not make slide decks.
02Hosting
Replit's free app goes down after 30 days; Briks hosts every site on every plan.
Replit publishes on every plan. Starter gets one free published app that goes down after 30 days and carries a Made with Replit badge; Core and Pro publish as many apps as you like, with publishing billed against your monthly credits. Custom domains are documented, though the page does not say which plan they need.
Briks hosts on every plan. A first publish goes to a preview at the site's own briks.live address, kept out of search; Publish to production follows a launch check. Your own domain starts on Starter, with the certificate issued and renewed automatically.
03Changes
Both take changes in plain language; Briks keeps each one as a version.
On Replit you ask the Agent, and paid Agent work is billed per checkpoint according to how complex the request is. Built-in Git means every change can also be handled the way developers usually do.
On Briks you type the change in the studio chat and it is built and published. Each build, change and recheck becomes a version that anyone with edit rights can undo, redo or restore, and a saved version can be A/B tested against the live one, counting phone taps, email taps, forms sent and clicks on the main action.
04After launch
Replit has Routines and Stripe today; Briks has your own processor, cookieless analytics and agents on paid plans.
Replit's Routines, on Core, Pro and Enterprise, schedule recurring Agent work hourly, daily or weekly across projects and tools such as Slack, Gmail, Calendar and Linear, up to 5 active on Core and 10 on Pro; they cannot schedule publishing. The Agent can add Stripe payments, there are Shopify storefront guides, and RevenueCat covers in-app payments on mobile.
Briks counts visitors, pages, sources, referrers and campaign tags without cookies, shows a live globe of the last five minutes, and offers an optional chat that answers from your published pages. Scheduled jobs and webhooks are on every plan. On paid plans, Briks agents run on their own schedules. Sites take one-time payments through your own account at Stripe or another of nine processors, and subscriptions through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, with no fee from Briks.
With Replit
A Replit Routine on Core can run weekly across connected tools and report back in chat.
With Briks
Briks keeps every form entry in the studio and emails each one in production; a form.received webhook can pass entries to another tool. On paid plans, the Leads agent sends a digest of each working day's entries, and the Reporter agent a one-page week every Monday.
05Pricing
Replit Core is $20 a month; Briks Starter is $16, with credits held per job.
Replit Core is $20 a month, or $18 a month billed yearly, and includes $20 towards more powerful models plus Free Mode usage. Paid Agent work is effort-based: each checkpoint is billed by request complexity, and the same credits pay for publishing, storage and databases.
Briks Starter is $16 a month for 175 credits, Pro $29 for 400, Studio $79 and Agency $199, with Free at 50 credits once. A job holds credits while it runs, 50 for a new site and 5 for a change; it is charged for the work it took, which can be more than the hold, and unused credits come back. Paying for a year gives 2 months free, and paid plans are bought online at checkout.
06Ownership
Both sync with GitHub; Briks syncs only your site's own files, which do not run on their own.
Replit has built-in Git with GitHub sync, so a project can move between Replit and GitHub in both directions.
Briks lets you browse and edit the files written for your site, and on a paid plan download them as a zip. The zip does not include the shared parts every Briks site runs on, so it does not run on its own. On paid plans those files can also be kept in a GitHub repository, in step both ways. On a paid plan database records download as JSON or CSV, and workspaces have Owner, Admin, Editor and Viewer roles with no seat fees.
These points come from named reviewers, linked and dated, and only where more than one source agreed. They describe some people’s experience, not everyone’s. Some reviewers publish their own tools, and older reviews may predate Replit’s current plans.
Costs are hard to predict under effort-based pricing, and users report paying for repeated Agent attempts and unexpected charges.
On Briks: On Briks a new site holds 50 credits and a change 5. The charge is for the work it took and can be more than the hold, unused credits come back, and a failed request is not charged.
An honest split. If the left-hand list describes you better, Replit is the better choice today.
Tick what your project needs. The suggestion counts only what is known: a need Replit’s pages did not mention never counts against it.

To move a Replit site to Briks, rebuild it from a brief and use the published Replit site as a reference for its look.
Copy the words from your Replit site that you want on the new one, and collect any pictures you own.
Add them to your Briks media library, where any project's prompt box can use them.
Describe the business and paste in the words you are keeping. Briks asks which pages you want and anything the brief leaves open.
Paste its address as your project's reference site. Briks reads its layout, spacing, type, motion and header, and builds a new site in that spirit with your words.
The first publish goes to a briks.live preview kept out of search. Ask for changes in plain words; each one is a version you can undo.
A launch check runs first, including links that go nowhere.
On Starter or above, add an A record, a CNAME for www and a TXT record. The certificate is issued and renewed automatically. Paid plans are bought online at checkout.
Briks is built for that: it asks what it needs, designs from a site you like, checks contrast before it publishes and hosts the site. Replit is broader and better if you also need mobile apps, slides or code in GitHub.
Replit bills paid Agent work per checkpoint by complexity. Briks holds credits per job (50 for a new site, 5 for a change) and charges the work it took, which can be more than the hold; unused credits come back.
Briks has scheduled jobs and webhooks on every plan, and agents that run on schedules on paid plans. Replit Routines are available today on Core and above.
Replit's free published app goes down after 30 days. A Briks Free site stays on its briks.live address; Free gives 50 credits once for building.
Partly. Replit syncs with GitHub. On a paid plan, Briks downloads your site's own files as a zip, which does not include the shared parts and does not run on its own. On paid plans those files can also be kept in a GitHub repository, in step both ways.
No. Briks builds websites, web apps and dashboards. Replit's Agent builds mobile apps.
