Briks for Mac

Build your sites on your Mac with your own coding agent, Claude Code or Codex. Briks plans each site, checks every turn, and publishes it to Briks when you are ready.

Version 1.0.0, for macOS 13 or later. Free to download; it runs on the Mac plan. Not sure which Mac you have? Open the Apple menu, then About This Mac: it shows Chip for Apple silicon, Processor for Intel.

Install itOnce, then it keeps itself up to date
  1. Open the disk image and drag Briks into Applications.
  2. Open Briks. The first time, macOS says it cannot check the app: open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.
  3. Sign in to Briks, then install and sign in to your agent from the app's Get started.

How it works

Mac plan and every paid plan

Your own agent
Each project works with Claude Code or Codex, the agent already on your Mac. Its usage is billed by its own provider, under your own account with them.
Planned by Briks
A new project starts from a plan Briks makes for it, from your words and its library of designs, with your agent doing the writing.
Checked every turn
After each turn, Briks checks the site and gives your agent one round to fix what it finds. You can turn that round off and choose what to send.
Published to Briks
Publish sends your changes to Briks, which builds the site and puts it live on its hosting, with the same checks as every publish.
In step with the studio
Changes made in the studio, or a version restored there, come down to your Mac by themselves.

The Mac plan

The app is free to download and runs on the Mac plan: $9 a month, or $90 a year. There is no trial. Starter and every larger plan include Briks for Mac too.

Credits
75 a month. Building with your own agent uses none; credits pay for the agents team, reading reference pages and AI pictures. A template costs 20 credits on the Mac.
Hosting
As many projects as you like on your Mac. One of them hosted on Briks with its own domain, 2 GB of storage and 1,000 emails a month.
Agents team
3 agents working on your site.

Install it

  1. Download the disk image for your Mac: Apple silicon for Macs with an M chip, Intel for older Macs. Each is its own app, and it updates only to its own kind.
  2. Open it and drag Briks into Applications.
  3. Open Briks. The first time, macOS says it cannot check the app: open System Settings, then Privacy & Security, and choose Open Anyway.
  4. Sign in to Briks, and choose the Mac plan if your workspace has no plan yet.
  5. Install and sign in to Claude Code or Codex from the app's Get started, which opens Terminal for you.

Updates

Briks checks for a new version a few times a day and downloads it in the background. It installs when you restart Briks, or the next time you quit it. A new version is taken only when Briks signed it.

What stays on your Mac

  • Your projects live in a folder on your Mac that you choose.
  • Briks never reads or keeps your agent's sign-in, nor the files it reads and the commands it runs.
  • Your Briks sign-in is kept with a key your Mac's Keychain holds.
  • What reaches Briks: each request you make and your agent's replies, so the studio shows them; the design notes it writes for the plan; what each turn cost it; the files you publish; and the pictures you add to the media library.
