AI app builders
Lovable turns a chat into a web app with a built-in back end, so most people who look elsewhere are not leaving because it cannot build. They look because of how usage is counted, how a generated back end is secured, or because their project turns out to be a business website that needs design and hosting more than code.
Below are five tools that cover the same ground in different ways, each with what it does well, what it costs where the price could be verified, and a link to its sources.

Two concerns come up in more than one review. Reviewers report that credits run out quickly, including on loops where the AI fixes its own mistakes, and that generated back ends can ship with gaps such as missing Row Level Security policies. Other people simply want something Lovable does not focus on: agents that keep working after launch, or a site designed from examples they already like.

Security gaps in generated back ends, such as missing or weak Row Level Security policies.
We ordered these by how closely each matches Lovable's main job, a full-stack web app from a chat, and then by how well it answers the concerns above. Briks is our product. It sits fourth because it starts from a written brief and puts the website first, rather than an app from a chat.
Every fact about another product links to its own page, opened on 8 October 2026. Where something could not be confirmed it reads “Not listed”, and prices appear only where a US dollar price was confirmed on the product’s own page.

Bolt is the closest in shape. A typed idea becomes a full-stack app with Bolt Database, sign-in, file storage and server functions, and Stripe handles one-time payments and subscriptions. It can import a project from Lovable, as well as from Figma, Google Stitch or a GitHub repository, so trying it with work you already have is straightforward. Usage is counted in tokens rather than credits.
Best for: Lovable users who want another full-stack builder, or to bring a Lovable project across.

Base44 includes a back end, database, sign-in, analytics and storage on every plan, Free included, and adds what Lovable does not focus on after launch: a Marketing Agent, Google Ads campaigns from the app dashboard and Superagents, in beta, for scheduled work. Payments run through Base44 Payments, powered by Wix, or Stripe.
Best for: Founders who want growth tools beside the app.

Replit's Agent builds web and mobile apps on a managed PostgreSQL database with file storage, and Core adds slides, data visualisations and videos from the same Agent. Routines schedule Agent work across tools such as Slack, Gmail and Linear. Its pricing is effort-based, which one named reviewer says makes costs hard to predict.
Best for: Builders who want apps, mobile and scheduled work in one place.
AI website and app builder
Choose Briks when the project is a business website or a data-backed web app. Briks asks what it needs before building, builds from a site you like, checks contrast in the code and on the live page, reads apps for unsafe patterns before they publish, and hosts the result. Its sites can give users accounts and take one-time payments and subscriptions through your own processor. On paid plans, its agents look after the site once it is live.
Best for: Business sites and data-backed apps where design, checks and hosting matter most.

v0 suits teams already on Vercel. Projects deploy there with preview deployments per branch, and a two-way GitHub workflow with pull requests and CI comes with the free plan. It has no built-in database; Neon, Supabase, Upstash and Vercel Blob connect in one click through the Vercel Marketplace.
Best for: Developers who work in Next.js and GitHub.
Lovable first, for reference, then the alternatives in the order above. “Not listed” means the pages we checked did not say, not that the product lacks it.
Bolt.new is the closest in shape: a prompt becomes a full-stack app with a built-in database, sign-in and Stripe payments. It can also import a project from Lovable.
Base44 has a Marketing Agent, Google Ads campaigns and Superagents (beta). Replit's Routines schedule Agent work across connected tools on Core and above. Briks has agents on paid plans for support, leads, search, AI search, articles, social posts, monthly marketing plans and a weekly report.
Bolt.new (download and GitHub), Replit (Git and GitHub sync), v0 (two-way GitHub) and Base44 (GitHub sync from the Builder plan, and a zip through its API). On a paid plan, Briks gives you a zip of your site's own files, which does not run on its own. On paid plans those files can also be kept in a GitHub repository, in step both ways.
Bolt.new, Replit, v0, Base44 and Briks all have free plans with limits. For example, Bolt gives 300K tokens a day, v0 7 messages a day, Base44 25 message credits a month, and Briks 50 credits once for one site.
Briks is built for that job: it designs from your brief or from a site you like, checks contrast before it publishes, and hosts the site with analytics counted without cookies. Your own domain starts on its Starter plan.
Yes, all five do: Bolt Cloud, Replit publishing, v0 on Vercel, Base44 on a base44.app address, and Briks on a briks.live address with your own domain from Starter.
