AI app builders
Bolt.new is quick to start and broad in what it builds, from landing pages to mobile apps. The people who look for alternatives usually do so after a few weeks of real use, when they have a clearer idea of how token use adds up on a growing project and what support they need when something goes wrong.
These five alternatives each make a different trade, from credits instead of tokens to post-launch agents to a designed site checked before it publishes.

Three themes recur across named reviews: tokens used quickly, including on fixing errors the tool introduced; error loops on larger builds, especially around sign-in and the back end; and weak support for billing disputes. None of the tools below promises to remove these risks entirely, but each counts usage or handles changes differently.
Tokens are used quickly, including on fixing errors Bolt introduced and on rewriting whole files for small fixes.
Error loops and regressions on larger builds, for example sign-in and back-end fixes that keep failing.
Weak support for billing disputes and account problems.
We ranked these by how well each covers Bolt's own range (full-stack apps with a database and payments), then by how differently it counts usage or recovers from a bad change. Briks is our product and comes fourth: it builds websites and data-backed web apps with sign-in, one-time payments and subscriptions, but no mobile apps.
Every fact about another product links to its own page, opened on 8 October 2026. Where something could not be confirmed it reads “Not listed”, and prices appear only where a US dollar price was confirmed on the product’s own page.

Lovable is the nearest like-for-like swap. A chat produces the front end and its built-in Cloud back end with database, sign-in and storage, Pro adds Paddle or Stripe payments, and Git sync with GitHub, GitLab or Bitbucket comes with every plan. It counts usage in credits rather than tokens, and workspaces have unlimited members.
Best for: Teams that want a full-stack builder priced by credits, not seats.
AI app builder
Replit's Agent covers web and mobile apps with a managed PostgreSQL database and file storage, and on Core it can also make slides, data visualisations and videos. Routines schedule Agent work across connected tools. Pricing is effort-based, billed per checkpoint, which a named reviewer says makes costs hard to predict.
Best for: Builders who want web, mobile and scheduled work in one place.
AI app builder
Base44 builds apps and websites with a back end, database, sign-in and storage on every plan and offers more after launch than Bolt: a Marketing Agent, Google Ads campaigns and Superagents in beta. It uses two credit pools, one for AI messages and one for integration actions.
Best for: Founders who want marketing help once the app is live.
AI website and app builder
Briks fits when the thing you are building is a business website or a dashboard over your own data. It asks what it needs before building, designs from a site you like, checks contrast before publishing, and keeps every change as a version you can undo. A failed request is not charged. Its sites can take one-time payments and subscriptions and give users accounts; it builds no mobile apps today.
Best for: A designed business site you change in plain words.

v0 builds Next.js apps and interfaces and deploys them to Vercel, with a two-way GitHub workflow, pull requests and CI on the free plan. Databases come from one-click integrations rather than being built in. Pricing is in US dollar credits drawn down by tokens at each model's rate.
Best for: Developers who want GitHub and Vercel at the centre.
Bolt.new first, for reference, then the alternatives in the order above. “Not listed” means the pages we checked did not say, not that the product lacks it.
Lovable: a chat builds a full-stack web app with a built-in back end, and it adds Paddle or Stripe payments on Pro. It counts credits instead of tokens.
Replit builds mobile apps, and Base44 apps can be submitted to app stores. Briks builds for the web only.
Lovable, Replit, v0 and Briks use credits, and Base44 uses message and integration credits. They count differently: v0's credits are US dollars drawn down by tokens, and Replit's are effort-based.
All five have free plans. Among paid plans with verified US prices, Briks Starter is $16 a month, Replit Core $20, Lovable Pro $25 and v0 Plus $30 per user; Base44 Starter is $16 a month billed yearly.
Bolt lets you download the project or sync it to GitHub, so builders that import from GitHub, such as Replit, can take it. Briks rebuilds from a brief and can use your Bolt site as a reference for the look.
Base44 (Marketing Agent, Google Ads, Superagents in beta) and Replit (Routines on Core and up). Lovable has project monitoring in beta. Briks has agents on paid plans.
