Marketing: plan and publish social posts

Each project has a Marketing tab beside Analytics. It holds a calendar of every post going out, a composer that fits one post to each platform, the accounts you post to, an inbox for replies and the results your posts brought to your site. Connecting accounts comes with a paid plan.

Connect an account

  1. Open Channels

    Where: Marketing

Click Channels under the Marketing heading. Connected accounts lists what the project already uses, with how many of your plan's accounts are in use.

  2. Choose the platform

    Where: Add an account

Each platform has a card with a Connect button. A platform you already connected says Connected and offers another account of it.

  3. Sign in on the platform

    Where: The platform's own page

You sign in there and allow Briks to post for you. Briks never sees your password. You come back to Channels, which says Account connected.

  4. Check its state

    Where: Connected accounts

Each account shows Connected, or Needs reconnecting when the platform asks you to sign in again. Press Reconnect to do that; the account keeps its posts and history.

  • An account works on every project. A social account connected on one project can be posted to from every project in the workspace. It counts towards the plan on the project where you connected it.
  • Remove an account from the menu beside it, which also has Open on the platform. Posts that already went out stay where they are, and a copy of each stays in Briks.
  • Who can connect: Owners and Admins connect and remove accounts. Owners, Admins, Editors and Clients write, schedule and publish posts. Viewers can read them.

Write a post

  1. Start it

    Where: Calendar

Press New post at the top right, or the button on a day in the calendar to start a post on that day.

  2. Choose the accounts

    Where: Accounts

Pick where it goes. Each account you choose gets its own version below, and the preview on the right shows the post as that platform will show it.

  3. Write the text

    Where: Post

Type in Text. The count beside it is the limit of the account you are looking at: X takes 280 characters and counts every link as 23, LinkedIn takes 3,000.

  4. Add pictures or videos

    Where: Pictures and videos

Press Add from media to choose from your media library and your sites, or upload new ones. Fill in Describe it for every picture: it is read out to people who cannot see it, and the post cannot go out without it.

  5. Add a link and a campaign

    Where: Link and campaign

Put the address in Link. Choose a Campaign or New campaign… to group posts, so Results can show what the campaign brought.

  6. Fit each version

    Where: Versions

Each version follows the main text until you give it its own words. Choose which pictures each one carries. On X you can press Add to the thread to carry on in more posts.

  7. Choose when

    Where: When

Set Day and Time, in your workspace's time zone, then press Schedule. Publish now sends it within a minute, and Save draft keeps it without a time.

If something stops a version going out, Before it can go out lists it by account: text over the limit, a picture with no description, an account that needs reconnecting. Schedule and Publish now wait until the list is empty.

  • Every link to your own site is tagged as the post goes out, so a visit from it is counted in your analytics and in Results.
  • Switch on Made with AI for a picture made by AI. The post is labelled as AI-made where the platform has a label for it.
  • Taking a published post down is done on the platform itself. A post that has gone out can no longer be changed in Briks; write a new one to say more.

The calendar

  • Switch between Month and Week, and move with the arrows or Today. Times are in your workspace's time zone.
  • Each post shows its account, its time and its state. A post that carries a picture made with AI is marked AI-made.
  • Drag a scheduled post to another day and it moves there at the same time of day. A time that has already passed is refused.
  • Open any post to see Where it stands on each account.

Inbox

Comments and mentions on connected accounts arrive in Inbox within about fifteen minutes, where the platform lets apps read them. Filter by Account, Kind and State. Press Reply to answer in your own words and Send reply, or press Set aside or Send to Support to sort an item, and Put back to undo that. Your post opens the post a comment is on.

Results

Results shows what people did on your site after a post, counted by your site's own analytics from the tags on each link. Reach and likes stay on the platforms; what counts here is people reaching your site and getting in touch. It opens on the last 30 days, and the range picker changes that.

  • Posts published, Visitors from posts, Enquiries (forms, calls, emails and chat questions) and Visitors who enquired.
  • By channel: each account with its posts, visitors and enquiries.
  • By campaign, then Posts with no campaign, each named by its first words.
  • Other tagged links: visits from links you tagged yourself elsewhere, by source and medium.

Posts from your agents

On a paid plan, two AI agents can work in this tab. Social writes next week's posts for your connected accounts every Thursday, from your site's articles, pages, offers and events. Marketing plans the month ahead and turns offers and events into campaigns. Their posts use your own photos and branded cards drawn in your site's typefaces and colours, never pictures made by AI.

Nothing an agent writes goes out without you. Its posts arrive as one batch in Waiting for you on the Agents page, by email and on Telegram if you chose it. Approve all, approve the ones you choose, or send the batch back with what to change. See Approvals and budgets.

What it costs

  • Connecting accounts and publishing are part of the paid plans. There is no charge per post on LinkedIn.
  • X charges for every post, so posts to X are paid in credits: about 0.23 credits for a post, and 3 for a post with a link. Each part of a thread counts as a post. A post to X holds at least 2 credits while it is sent, and is charged only the fee.
  • Posts that agents write are paid from the agent's own monthly budget, like the rest of its work.
  • Nothing is spent on advertising: Briks never buys ads or boosts posts.
Will anything be posted without my approval?

Posts you schedule go out at the time you set. Anything an agent prepares waits for your approval first.

Can I post to a Facebook Page or Instagram?

Not yet. Today posts go to X and LinkedIn profiles. Other platforms follow as each one approves Briks.

Why can't I connect an account?

Either your plan includes no accounts (Free), all your plan's accounts on this project are in use, or your role is Editor, Client or Viewer. Owners and Admins connect accounts.

Can I change a post after it is published?

No. Edit or delete it on the platform, or write a new post.
