Website builder for clothing and saree shops

Clothing is bought on colour, fabric and fit, and a saree is bought on weave, border and occasion. A shop's website has to show those details up close, help people choose, and make it easy to ask or to visit. Describe your shop and your collections, and Briks plans the pages, builds them and publishes your site.

Below are templates you can start from, the pages a clothing shop's site usually needs, and a brief you can rework with your own collections.

The pages a clothing or saree shop's website needs

People shop by occasion, fabric and budget. Tick the pages that fit your shop and the sitemap redraws. Briks asks the same question before it builds.

Rangreza is a family-run saree and fabric shop in Aminabad, Lucknow, open since 1987 and now run by the second generation, Farah and Imran Siddiqui. We are known for chikankari: hand-embroidered sarees, kurtas and dupattas in cotton, georgette and chiffon.

We also stock Banarasi silks for weddings. Cotton chikankari sarees start at ₹3,500 and bridal pieces go up to ₹85,000. Every piece is chosen by Farah from artisans we have worked with for years.

Customers visit the shop, open 11am to 8pm and closed on Sundays, or send an enquiry about a piece, and we reply with availability and price. We ship across India and abroad.

The site should feel elegant and warm, with close-up photographs of the embroidery, pages for chikankari and for bridal, a care guide, and an enquiry button on every piece.

Pages: Home, Collections, Fabrics and weaves, Visit the store, Enquire, Our story.

Why it is written this way

  • Name your craft and fabrics. 'Chikankari' and 'Banarasi silk' are exactly what buyers type.
  • Give price ranges. Customers want to know whether a shop is for them before they visit.
  • Explain how buying works today: enquiry, reply, payment and shipping, each step in words.
  • Mention who chooses the pieces. Trust in the buyer's eye is part of what you sell.

How Briks builds a clothing shop website

Each step is something Briks does today. Follow a link for the details of each feature, including whether it needs a plan or a switch.

  1. Describe your shop

Write what you sell, the fabrics and weaves, prices, how people buy and where your store is. Briks asks which pages you want before it builds, and anything your brief left open, such as whether bridal gets its own page.

  2. Show it a shop you like

Add a site you admire, with screenshots. Briks reads its layout, spacing, type, motion and header menu, and builds yours in that spirit, with your own collections.

  3. Collections as records

When your site stores data, such as pieces kept as records, it gets its own database. View and edit them in the Database tab, and on a paid plan download up to 50,000 records per collection.

  4. Enquiries about a piece

Enquiry forms keep every entry in the studio, and once the site is in production each one is emailed to you.

  5. Answer the same questions, day and night

Switch on the site chat and it answers visitors from your published pages, such as delivery times or store hours, and emails you the questions it cannot answer.

  6. New arrivals in plain words

Advice for a clothing shop website that sells

  • Show the fabric up close

Colour on screens is never quite right, so show texture, border and pallu in close-up, in daylight, and name the true colour in words. Fewer surprises mean fewer returns.

  • Organise by occasion as well as type

Many shoppers start with an event, not a fabric: a wedding, a festival, the office. A page per occasion helps them find the right piece faster.

  • Make asking easy

For considered purchases, people want to ask before they buy. An enquiry button beside every piece, and a quick reply, turn browsing into a conversation.

  • Do not forget the store

If most sales happen in person, the site's job is to bring people through the door. Hours, the address, parking and what to expect on a bridal visit belong near the top.

Questions from clothing and saree shops

Can customers buy sarees on the site?

Yes. A piece can be paid for through your own Stripe, PayPal, Mollie or Razorpay account, and when you ask, Briks builds shipping for posted orders into the site. Or show every piece with its price, take orders by enquiry and reply with how to pay, or link to the online shop you already use.

Can I add new arrivals myself?

Yes. Describe them in the studio chat and Briks builds and publishes the change. If your pieces are stored as records, you can also edit them in the Database tab.

Can I show prices in rupees?

Yes. Write prices in your brief the way you want them shown, such as ₹3,500, and the pages are written from your brief. Ask for any change in plain words later.

Can the site answer questions about delivery?

If you switch on the site chat, it answers from your published pages, so put delivery times and areas on a page. Questions it cannot answer are emailed to you.
