Best AI app builders in 2026

Ten AI app builders compared on price, database and sign-in, payments, the code you can take and one limit each.

There is no single best AI app builder; it depends on whether you will touch the code, whether the app is for the web or a phone, and where your data lives. The short answer:

  • A web app or product idea built by chat, with its code in GitHub: Lovable.
  • An app you may code yourself later, or a phone app: Replit or Bolt.
  • A no-code app with sign-in, running in minutes: Base44.
  • Polished screens and real code for a developer to own: v0.
  • A larger no-code product kept on one platform: Bubble.
  • A client portal or internal tool over your own data: Softr, or Glide when that data lives in spreadsheets.
  • A simple web app at the lowest monthly price, paid four years upfront: Hostinger AI Builder.
  • A business app planned, built, checked and hosted from a description, with AI agents after launch: Briks.

Briks is our product, so read its section with that in mind. The tools are not ranked: Lovable comes first because it puts the most of what people ask an app builder for into one product, and Briks comes last because it is ours.

How we checked

On 23 October 2026 we opened each vendor's pricing page and documentation, listed under Sources. Prices are in US dollars as a visitor in the United States sees them; where a figure was not reliable, we left it out.

Quick answers

Which AI app builders let you export code to GitHub?

Lovable and v0 sync with GitHub on every plan, free included, and Bolt syncs both ways too. Replit pushes and pulls from its Git pane, Base44 syncs from Builder and Briks on paid plans. Hostinger AI Builder exports the full code. Bubble, Softr and Glide do not export code.

Which build web apps with a database and user login?

Lovable, Replit, Bolt, Base44, Bubble, Softr, Hostinger AI Builder and Briks include both. Glide gives each project its own tables and sets sign-in per app. v0 connects outside providers and writes sign-in code when you ask.

Which can take payments?

Built in: Lovable from Pro, Base44 from Builder, and Hostinger AI Builder and Briks on every plan. Through an integration you connect: Bolt, Replit on paid plans, v0, Bubble, Softr and Glide.

Which suit people who cannot code?

Base44, Bubble, Softr, Glide, Hostinger AI Builder and Briks are made for people who never open the code. Lovable and Bolt add visual edits beside the chat. Replit and v0 suit people who may code later.

Lovable

Lovable is an AI builder you chat with to make web apps, with a built-in backend for the database and sign-in. It suits founders turning an idea into a product whose code they want in GitHub.

  • What the AI does: it builds from the chat, and you can select and change things on the preview. Editing code needs a paid plan.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: sign-in with email and password or Google. Built-in payments need Pro; on Free you connect your own payments account.
  • Price and domain: Free gives 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month, on a lovable.app address. Pro is $25 a month, or $250 a year, with 100 credits and your own domain.
  • Your code: two-way GitHub sync on every plan; downloading it needs Pro.
  • One limitation: a message's cost in credits varies with the task, and there is no built-in route to the app stores.

Replit

Replit is a development platform whose AI Agent builds web apps and native iOS and Android apps. It suits founders who may code or hire a developer later.

  • What the AI does: the Agent builds the app, a Visual Editor makes simple edits without credits, and it can upload a phone app to Apple's App Store Connect.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: a built-in database, 20 GB free per app, and two sign-in options. Payments use a connector on paid plans.
  • Price and domain: the free Starter plan publishes 1 app, which goes down after 30 days. Core is $18 a month billed yearly, with $20 a month toward its stronger models.
  • Your code: push and pull with GitHub from the Git pane.
  • One limitation: paid work is priced by effort, so costs vary, and unused Core credits do not roll over.

Bolt

Bolt is an AI builder in the browser for websites, web apps and phone apps, with hosting, data and sign-in included. It suits people testing ideas quickly.

  • What the AI does: it builds from the chat; visual edits use tokens only when you save, and phone apps can go to the App Store and Google Play.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: a database when the project needs one, sign-up with email or Google, and payments by connecting your own account.
  • Price and domain: Free gives 1 million tokens a month, with Bolt branding. Pro is $25 a month, or $18 billed yearly, with 10 million tokens that roll over and your own domain.
  • Your code: two-way GitHub sync, and a project downloads as a zip.
  • One limitation: larger projects use more tokens per message, and a free site goes offline for the month once it passes its hosting limit.

Base44

Base44 is a no-code AI platform for apps, websites and AI agents, with hosting built in. It suits non-coders who want an app with sign-in running quickly.

  • What the AI does: it builds from the chat, and Edit mode changes an element you click. From Builder it wraps your web app for the app stores.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: a built-in database and sign-in, including Google, Microsoft and Apple. Payments need Builder, at $40 a month billed yearly.
  • Price and domain: Free gives 25 message credits a month and can publish. Starter is $16 a month billed yearly, with 100 credits and your own domain.
  • Your code: two-way GitHub sync from Builder.
  • One limitation: credits are a hard cap; when they run out, actions pause until the next reset.

v0

v0 is an AI agent that writes the code for full-stack web apps. It suits developers and technical founders who want polished screens and code they own.

  • What the AI does: it builds from the chat; Design Mode restyles an element you select, and a Code tab shows every file.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: no database of its own; it connects outside providers in one click, writes sign-in code when you ask and adds payments through an integration.
  • Price and domain: Free allows 7 messages a day. Plus is $30 per user a month, with $30 of credits and $2 free each day you log in. You can add your own domain.
  • Your code: GitHub sync on every plan, and you can export the code to run elsewhere.
  • One limitation: usage is billed by tokens, and generation pauses when the credits run out.

Bubble

Bubble is a no-code platform where you switch between its AI Agent and a visual editor, for web and phone apps. It suits non-coders building a larger product.

  • What the AI does: the Agent builds and edits apps. Generating a new app and visual editing use no credits; since 6 October 2026, Agent edits do.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: a built-in database and user accounts, with payments through official plugins for major providers.
  • Price and domain: the free plan is a development version with no live app. Bubble announced its web-only Starter at $39 a month, or $32 billed yearly, from 20 October; Web and Mobile Starter is $59 a month billed yearly.
  • Your code: no code export; you can export the app's logic as a file, and your data.
  • One limitation: hosting is billed by usage, in workload units, with overages beyond the plan.

Softr

Softr is an AI app builder for internal tools and portals. It suits teams building a client portal, a CRM or an intranet over data they already have.

  • What the AI does: a prompt generates the pages, data, permissions and workflows; you refine them visually or by AI.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: its own databases or your Airtable, Google Sheets or Notion data, email sign-in on every plan, and payments through an integration.
  • Price and domain: Free is free forever, with 5 AI credits a month, 5 app users and 5,000 records. Basic is $19 a month billed yearly and adds your own domain.
  • Your code: Softr does not hand you code.
  • One limitation: Basic allows 5 team and 5 client users, and more can be added only from Pro, at $99 a month billed yearly.

Glide

Glide turns the Excel files and Google Sheets a business runs on into apps; these prices are for GlideOS, its new product. It suits operations teams that want internal apps.

  • What the AI does: you start from a prompt, a spreadsheet, a document or an image, and ask for changes in the same chat.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: each project has its own tables, filled from Google Sheets, Excel or CSV. Sign-in is set per app, and payments come through an integration.
  • Price and domain: the free plan cannot publish. Basic is $25 a month with 100 credits and 2 published apps. You can connect your own domain.
  • Your code: no code export; viewing code and project files is listed only on Enterprise.
  • One limitation: it does not write back to Google Sheets; it copies the sheet into its own table.

Hostinger AI Builder

Hostinger's AI Builder, which now includes Horizons, builds websites and web apps by chat or drag and drop. It suits owners on a budget who can pay for years upfront.

  • What the AI does: it builds a first version from your description; you change it by chat, drag and drop, or in the code.
  • Data, sign-in and payments: a built-in back end with databases and user accounts, and built-in payments on every plan.
  • Price and domain: Premium is $2.49 a month on a 48-month term, paid upfront as $119.52, renewing at $10.99, with a domain free for a year. There is no free plan, only a trial.
  • Your code: edit or export the complete code at any time, on every plan.
  • One limitation: no native apps for the App Store or Google Play, and the low price depends on the long term.

Briks

Briks is our product. It builds web apps, websites and dashboards from a description, with the database and forms behind them, reads the code for security and hosts the result.

  • Who it suits: a business that wants a members' area, a directory or a jobs board without touching code.
  • What the AI does: it asks which pages you want before a first build, and before publishing reads the code for keys left in files, routes with no limit and unchecked input. Changes are asked for in plain words, or made to a file by hand.
  • Data, sign-in and payments, on every plan: the app's own database comes with the build, and you edit its records in the studio. Visitors sign up with email and password, or Google and seven more providers on your own keys. One-time payments go through your own processor, such as Stripe, PayPal, Mollie or Paddle, and plans that renew through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy, with no fee from Briks.
  • Price and domain: Free gives you 50 credits at sign-up and 1 site on a briks.live address, with no card. Starter is $16 a month, or $160 a year, with 175 credits a month, your own domain and 3 AI agents. A first build holds 50 credits while it runs and is charged for the work it took.
  • Your code: every file is open in the studio, and paid plans download it as a zip. On paid plans those files can also be kept in a GitHub repository, in step both ways. The zip leaves out the shared parts every Briks site runs on.
  • After launch: on paid plans you can hire AI agents, 13 kinds today, each asking you before it acts.
  • Where others do better: an app cannot call other services yet; webhooks and scheduled jobs connect your tools. Replit, Bolt and Bubble build phone apps; Briks builds for the web. Glide and Softr start from a spreadsheet; a Briks dashboard reads its own database. v0 and Hostinger AI Builder hand over code that runs elsewhere.

How to choose

  1. Whether you will ever code. If you might, pick Lovable, v0, Bolt or Replit. If not, a visual builder (Bubble, Softr, Glide) or one you talk to (Base44, Hostinger AI Builder, Briks).
  2. Web or phone. For the app stores, look at Replit, Bolt or Bubble; Base44 wraps its web app. Lovable, Hostinger AI Builder and Briks build for the web.
  3. Where your data lives. Most include a database. If it sits in spreadsheets or Airtable, Glide and Softr start from it.
  4. How usage is billed. Credits, tokens, effort pricing and workload units behave differently, so price a month of real use.
  5. Which plan takes payments. Lovable needs Pro and Base44 Builder; Hostinger AI Builder and Briks include payments on every plan.
  6. Leaving later. Bubble, Softr and Glide keep the app on their platform.

Where to start

Unsure? Describe the same app to two of them and compare. For Briks beside one other tool, see Briks vs Lovable, Briks vs Bolt, Lovable alternatives or every comparison, or start Briks free with no card needed.
