## What credits buy

Credits pay for the AI work: planning, designing, building and checking. Hosting is part of every plan, so a live site stays up whatever your balance.

- A new site, planned, built, checked and published: **about 70 credits**
- A change you ask for in plain words: **about 3 credits**
- Your own edits in the Visual Editor, and publishing them: **no credits**

Usual figures, worked out every night from the last 60 days of builds.

- **Set aside, then charged for the work.** A new site sets aside 50 credits while it builds and a change 5. Each is charged for the work it took, and what it does not use comes back.
- **Failed requests are free.** A request that fails is not charged.
- **Your first site is finished.** On Free, your first site is built in full, even if it needs more than your 50 credits.
- **New sites wait for credits.** When a new site is planned and the rest usually needs more credits than you have, it stops there with the plan kept, and carries on only when you choose Resume building.
- **Budgets and alerts.** Each AI agent keeps to a monthly and a daily credit budget you can change, and Owners and Admins get a notice and an email when 10% or less of your plan's credits is left.

### Enterprise and agencies

A plan with more sites, people and AI agents than Agency includes, set up with you.

**Prices exclude tax.** Sales tax or VAT is added at checkout where it applies.

**Teams start on Pro:** invite people with roles, 3 on Pro, 10 on Studio and 25 on Agency, you included, with no fee per person. You can own up to 10 workspaces, one for each client. ## Questions about pricing

### What is a credit?

Credits pay for the AI work: planning, designing, building and checking. A new site holds 50 credits while it builds and a change holds 5. Each is charged for the work it took, and what it does not use comes back.

### What happens if a request fails?

A request that fails is not charged. The credits it held go back to your balance.

### What happens when I run out of credits?

Your sites stay live: hosting is part of your plan, never paid in credits. A new site that usually needs more credits than you have stops once it is planned, with the plan kept, and carries on when you choose Resume building. A change that would add pages and usually needs more than you have is not started. On Free, your first site is built in full all the same.

### Do unused credits carry over?

On a paid plan, each month's credits stay usable for two months from the day they arrive. The Free plan's 50 do not expire.

### Can I buy credits on their own?

No. Credits come with a plan. To get more, move to a plan with more credits: the extra credits for the rest of the month arrive as soon as you upgrade.

### Can I start without a card?

Yes. You get 50 credits when you sign up, for one site on a briks.live address.

### What do paid plans add over Free?

Your own domain, the Visual Editor, AI agents (3 per project on Starter, a Team lead and the Security agent among them), GitHub sync, code downloads, database downloads and nightly copies, and sites without the Built with Briks badge. Teams start on Pro.

### How do I move to a paid plan?

Sign in, open Billing and choose a plan, monthly or yearly, then pay at checkout. The plan's credits arrive as soon as the payment goes through. Only an Owner of the workspace can choose its plan.

### Who owns my website and its code?

Your content is yours: your words, the pictures you upload, your brand and your site's records. The words, designs and code Briks writes for your site are yours to use, while the parts every Briks site shares stay with Briks. On a paid plan you can download that code as a zip at any time, keep it in step with your own GitHub repository, and download your database as JSON or CSV.

### What happens if I leave Briks?

You keep your content and the code written for your site. On a paid plan, download the code and your database, then cancel from Billing: your plan stays until the end of the period you paid for, and after that your workspace is on Free and your sites stay live. The code download holds your site's own files, without the parts every Briks site shares, so it does not run on its own.

### Where does my data live, and how is it kept?

With your site. A site that stores data gets its own database, made in the EU by default, and keys you add in Secrets go straight to your published site, encrypted, with only their names kept by the studio. A key pasted into a message is cut out before the message is kept, when Briks knows its kind. Every build and change is kept as a version you can restore, and on a paid plan you can switch on a copy of your database every night, each kept for 30 days.
