# Website builder for therapists and clinics

Someone looking for a therapist or a clinic is often anxious, and may have put off the search for months. Your website has to feel calm, explain what you offer in plain words, show who they will see and make the first step small. Describe your practice and Briks plans the pages, builds them and publishes the site.

Below are templates you can start from, the pages a practice site usually needs, and a brief to adapt for your own.

Start with 50 free credits. No card needed.

## Start from a template

Sites built with Briks. Pick one, tell us about your business, and every page is rewritten for it before it is published.

## The pages a therapy practice or clinic website needs

Every page should make the first step feel smaller. Tick the pages that fit your practice and the sitemap redraws. Briks asks the same question before it builds.

**Your sitemap** 6 pages

**Home**/

**Services**/services **Team**/team **Fees**/fees **How to start**/start

**Contact**/contact

Briks asks which pages you want before it builds, with Decide for me if you would rather it chose. What you tick here goes into the example brief below.

## An example brief for a therapy practice website

Change the details to your own and use it as your starting point. The pages line follows what you ticked above.

Riverside Therapy is a group of five counsellors and psychotherapists in Shrewsbury, founded by Dr Helen Ashby in 2016. We offer one-to-one therapy for adults, couples counselling and online sessions, for anxiety, depression, grief, trauma and stress at work.

Sessions are 50 minutes: £70 for individuals and £90 for couples, with evening appointments until 8pm on weekdays. Every therapist is registered with a professional body and has at least five years' experience.

People start with a free 15-minute phone call, then we match them with the right therapist. We want a page for each therapist, a fees page, a how-to-start page, and a short contact form that asks only for a name, a way to reply and a good time to call.

The site should feel quiet, warm and unhurried, with soft natural colours, plain words and no clinical jargon.

**Pages:** Home, Services, Team, Fees, How to start, Contact.

Use this brief opens sign-up, then a new project with these words filled in. Change anything before you build.

### Why it is written this way

- Name what you help with in everyday words. 'Anxiety' and 'grief' are what people search for.
- Give fees and session lengths. Not knowing the cost is a common reason people never get in touch.
- Ask for less in the form, and say so in the brief. A name, a way to reply and a time to call are enough.
- Describe the feel you want. Quiet and warm is a design direction as much as a tone of voice.

## How Briks builds a therapy practice website

Each step is something Briks does today. Follow a link for the details of each feature, including whether it needs a plan or a switch.

1. **Describe your practice**

Write who you help, the therapies you offer, your team, fees and where you are. Briks asks which pages you want before building, and anything your brief left open, such as whether each practitioner gets a page.

[Questions before building *On every plan*](https://briks.dev/features/questions-before-building)

2. **Choose a calm look**

Switch on Pick a look and compare three looks for your practice, with colours, type, corners, a button and cards set with your own words, before anything is built.

[Pick a look *Switch it on*](https://briks.dev/features/pick-a-look)

3. **Readable for everyone**

Calm palettes can drift into hard-to-read. Briks checks contrast in the code before publishing and on the live page at desktop and phone after the first publish, with a repair where words are hard to read.

[Checks before publishing *On every plan*](https://briks.dev/features/contrast-checks)

4. **A first contact form**

Entries are kept in the studio and, once the site is in production, emailed to you. Keep the form short and ask nothing clinical.

[Forms that keep every entry *On every plan*](https://briks.dev/features/forms)

5. **Analytics without cookies**

Visits are counted without cookies, so the counting itself sets none. It is on by default and you can turn it off for your site.

6. **Keep fees and availability current**

When fees change or a practitioner joins, say so in the studio chat. Briks builds and publishes the change, and every change is a version you can undo.

## What Briks covers for a practice, and what it does not

An honest list, checked against what Briks does on 8 October 2026. Where Briks does not cover something, the usual way around it is in the same row.

## Advice for a practice website that feels safe to contact

- **Use the words clients use**

People search for help with how they feel, not for the name of a therapy. Lead with anxiety, low mood and grief, and explain methods further down for those who want them.

- **Keep the first contact light**

A form that asks for a full history is a wall. A name, a way to reply and a good time to call are enough to start. Save the rest for the first conversation, and never ask for clinical details in a web form.

- **Show the person they will see**

A clear photograph, a short note in the therapist's own voice and their registration details help someone choose. It is a personal decision, so make it personal.

- **Say what happens after they get in touch**

When will you reply? By phone or email? What happens on the first call? Answering these on the site makes a difficult step feel smaller.

## Questions from therapists and clinics

### Can clients book appointments online?

Yes, when you ask. Briks builds online booking into your site, with the times you offer kept as records you can edit in the Database tab, and a session can be paid for through your own processor. Many practices start with a first contact form instead, which keeps every entry in the studio and emails each one to you once the site is in production. The site can also link to a booking system you already use.

### Does the site use cookies for analytics?

No. Visits are counted without cookies. Analytics is on by default and you can turn it off for your site. Other things you add to the site may still need a cookie notice.

### What should a therapy contact form ask?

As little as possible: a name, a way to reply and a good time to call. Keep clinical details out of web forms and talk about them in the first conversation.

### Can each therapist have their own page?

Yes. Say so in your brief or answer it in the questions before building, and Briks plans a page for each one. Adding a therapist later is one request in plain words.
