For agents: [this article as Markdown](https://briks.dev/blog/introducing-briks.md)

Briks builds websites, web apps and dashboards for businesses. You describe what you need in plain words, and add a site you like if you have one. Briks plans the pages, designs them, writes the words, builds the site, checks it and publishes it, with hosting included. After launch, on a paid plan, a crew of AI agents helps you run it.

This first post covers what Briks does today, what it costs and what it does not do yet. Everything below is what a new account gets on the day of writing.

## How a build goes

You start with a brief: a few sentences about your business, who it is for and what you want people to do. If there is a site whose look you like, add its address. Briks reads how that page is put together and builds yours in that spirit, with your own words.

Before a first build, Briks asks which pages you want and anything your words left open. You can tick, type, or let it decide. If you want more say, three stops can be switched on in the new project steps: approve the words before anything is built, pick a look from three, and choose the first screen of the home page from four plain wireframes. All three are off by default, so a build can also run straight through.

Every build is checked before it goes live. The code is read for security, and colour contrast is checked in the code and again on the live page at desktop and phone size, with a repair when words are hard to read. Then the site is published to its own briks.live address and hosted, with visitors counted without cookies.

## Changing it later

Ask for a change in the studio chat, like a darker header or this week's opening hours, and Briks builds it and publishes it. Every build and every change is saved as a version, so you can undo, redo or restore any of them. On paid plans, your site's own code can also be kept in a [GitHub](https://briks.dev/docs/github) repository, in step both ways.

On paid plans, the [Visual Editor](https://briks.dev/features/visual-editor) lets you change the page itself: click the words, a picture or a section and set it in the panel, for each screen size. The edits you make yourself are published without using credits. On every plan you can also ask for changes and publish them from [Telegram](https://briks.dev/features/telegram) or [Discord](https://briks.dev/docs/discord).

## Help after launch

A site is the easy part. The work starts after launch: answering questions, keeping it secure, posting every week, being found. On paid plans you can hire [AI agents](https://briks.dev/features/ai-agents) for each site to help with that: Starter includes 3 per project, Pro 5, Studio 10 and Agency 15.

There are 13 kinds today: Team lead, Site keeper, Support, Leads, Site watch, SEO, Designer and coder, Reporter, Articles, Social, Marketing, AI search and Security. Each has a job, a schedule and a monthly budget, and each asks you before it emails anyone, changes your site or posts to your social accounts. The Team lead plans their week from your goals and sends you one stand-up on Mondays. The Security agent checks the code after every publish and fixes only what you approve.

## Sign-in and payments in your own accounts

A site that needs accounts lets its visitors sign up with an email address and a password, and you can switch on sign-in with Google, Apple, Microsoft and others using apps of your own. Any site can take one-time payments through your own processor, such as Stripe, PayPal, Mollie or Paddle, and sell plans that renew monthly or yearly through Stripe, Paddle, Polar or Lemon Squeezy. Buyers pay on the processor's own page and the money goes to your account. Briks takes no fee on your sales; the processor's own fees apply.

For goods you post, ask for shipping: Briks builds it with your own payment account.

## What it costs

You can start free: 50 credits at sign-up, 1 site on a briks.live address, and no card. Credits pay for the AI work. A new site holds 50 credits while it builds and a change holds 5. Each is charged for the work it took, what it does not use comes back, and a request that fails is not charged.

Paid plans start at $16 a month for Starter, with 175 credits a month, your own domain and 3 AI agents. Pro is $29, Studio is $79 and Agency is $199 a month, and paying yearly gives you 12 months for the price of 10. Hosting is part of every plan. The [pricing](https://briks.dev/pricing) page has every limit side by side.

## What is not here yet

One thing is on the way and is marked as coming soon on this site: the Reputation agent for Google reviews. Newsletters are not offered. I would rather say that plainly here than have you find it out halfway through a build.

## Where to start

You can [start free](https://app.briks.dev/signup) with 50 credits, no card needed. Describe your business in a sentence or two and see what comes back. The [changelog](https://briks.dev/changelog) lists every release with its date, newest first, so you can see how quickly things are moving.
